Multicultural Family Center Site Supervisor Salary:$18.15 Hourly Part time Position, no benefits provided; 20-25 hours per week - requires flexibility to work during MFC hours including Monday - Thursday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Multicultural Family Center (MFC) Director and/or Assistant Director, supervises the day to day operations of the Center, including assisting community members and serving as the point person for visitors, program participants and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with programming and event standards. The Site supervisor will work closely with other city departments, non-profits, community groups and others. Performs related work as required. Examples of Duties EXAMPLES OF WORK (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY): ESSENTIAL: --- Welcome and orient visitors to the MFC and provide tours when needed. --- Lead and assist with development, coordination and/or implementation of programs. --- Creates assessments, surveys and other tools to provide feedback from the public. --- Use the computer to register new visitors, make flyers and/or create reports. --- Ensure the MFC is properly clean and presentable. --- Enforce the MFC's policies and procedures. --- Monitor the inventory of site materials, supplies, and equipment; makes purchases for the center, staying within the center budget. --- Train, supervise, and lead AmeriCorps staff, student interns, and volunteers. --- Assure accurate, complete, and confidential maintenance of employee, volunteer, and center member records. --- Assess and share current and future facility and program needs. --- Coordinate and schedule room requests. --- Assure that all Center-level documentation and reports are complete, up to date, and accurate. --- Attend meetings and trainings, as requested and/or required to keep abreast of trends in the various service areas. --- Attend weekly update meetings with the Center Director. --- Responds to citizen's questions and service requests in a courteous, timely and equitable manner. --- Participation in the city's intercultural competency training program. Typical Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ESSENTIAL: --- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion. --- Considerable professional experience working with culturally diverse populations. --- Sensitivity to the needs of traditionally marginalized communities. --- Ability to work with software programs. --- Ability to maintain and prepare reports. --- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across cultural differences; --- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. --- Ability to make public presentations and work with a variety of social media. --- Ability to meet the public courteously and to obtain and give information. --- Ability to use resourcefulness and tact in solving problems. --- Ability to plan, assign, supervise and implement the activities of staff and volunteers. --- Ability to work effectively as a team. --- Desire to work with all cultures (ages, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) --- Ability to speak Spanish or second language is preferred. --- Demonstrated ability to follow a management philosophy that is input-oriented and values equity, problem solving and development of partnerships. --- Desire to be part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and team work. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possession of a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field; experience working with a diverse workforce; some experience in a supervisory role; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the essential knowledge, skills and abilities.
