Job Description:
What You Can ExpectAs the Electrician I, under general
supervision, you will apply knowledge, skills and abilities at the
journey level to install, operate, troubleshoot, maintain and
repair electric utility substation, distribution and production
plant electrical equipment. Additionally, you will determine
jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required, procures
materials, coordinates outages, completes work, places systems back
into service.Installs, operates, troubleshoots, maintains and
repairs electric utility systems including low voltage power
distribution systems, switchgear, protection and control systems,
lighting, ventilation and pumping systems, battery systems,
instrumentation, motor starters and controls and conduit, cable and
wiring systems operating at less than 600 volts.Interprets and
maintains wiring diagrams, schematics, updates system logs,
drawings and documentation on utility systemsWorks around and with
medium voltage (600 volts to 15kV) utility systems under the
direction of High Voltage ElectriciansWhat Youll BringThis role
requires a minimum educational level of a High School Diploma or
GEDState of Iowa Class A or B Journeyman Electrician license; valid
driver's licenseKnowledge of electrical utility systems,
troubleshooting methods, trade principles, and maintenance
toolsFamiliarity with electrical codes, utility standards, safety
regulations, and hazard precautionsAbility to interpret blueprints,
schematics, control system drawings, and repair manualsAdditional

Range: $26.59 $44.33USD hourlyThis represents the average expected
