excellent opportunity for a Production Support Supervisor (2nd
Shift) based in Dubuque, IA for Rite-Hite Doors Inc. The hours are
1:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Thursday. Four 10-hour shifts. Job
Description: This position is responsible for direction of daily
production activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Communicate
needs, set direction, manage the production and material resources
to effectively execute each day's production schedule. Identify
problems, collect data, document and improve processes, make
suggestions, monitor and measure improvements, communicate and
coordinate the activities of manufacturing, purchasing, planning
and engineering as needed to support production. Creating,
measuring and scoring objectives for production personnel.
Understand, support and enforce safe production practices. Maintain
and enforce Rite-Hite quality standards and Rite-Hite employment
policies. Manage departmental budgets. Facilitate training.
Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and
procedures in the effort for continuous improvement. PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES Efficient execution of daily production schedules.
Creation of fail safe processes. Successful execution of
manufacturing business plan. Adherence to Rite-Hite safety, quality
and employment policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly
supervises 80 - 120 employees in the Environmental Enclosures Seal
and Shelter production division. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems. Required Experience:
Bachelor of arts from accredited college; Or minimum of Associates
degree, combined with two to five years related experience. Ability
to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical
journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to
respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability
to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to
prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present
information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of
directors. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as
probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane
and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such
as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish
facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
