Job Description:
Job SummaryAs an Extended Coverage team member with Hirschbach
your expectation is to oversee Hirschbach operations and ensure
success for Hirschbach operators and customers during
non-traditional operation hours. The Extended Coverage team member
acts as the communication liaison and provides a wide spectrum of
services to Hirschbach drivers and customers.Duties &
Responsibilities
Supervises the handling of freight
from shipper to receiver. -Communicates load information to
Hirschbach operators. Monitors Hirschbach operators and service
during non-traditional operation hours. Records and identifies
issues encountered during service, including issues pertaining to
cargo, worker's compensation, and safety and communicates/elevates
issues to proper personnel. Communicates all services issues
promptly to the customer and elevates issues accordingly to the
operations team and others within the organization as applicable.
Provides tracking and tracing on shipments to ensure on-time
pickups and deliveries and resolves any issues that may arise
during transport.Handles customer correspondence, complaints, and
inquiries.Plans trucks to optimize driver and equipment utilization
and to minimize empty miles.Sends preplans to drivers and secures
load commitments within a timely mannerTrains and develops Extended
Coverage I, and Extended Coverage II.Consistently achieves Best in
Class retention percentage and can proactively manage turnover
behavior. Consistently achieves high utilization and operates as an
entrepreneur in managing a board of operators or fleet performance.
Completes other duties as assigned, including proactively assisting
others in achieving the organizations objectives. Talent
Requirements and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent,
paired with relevant professional experience.Bachelor's Degree in
Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, or a related field is
preferred.Ability to process information with high levels of
accuracy and energy.Ability to multi-task and prioritize
workload.Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between
multiple programs.Demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and
displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an
