Responsibilities As an Electrical Design Engineer for John Deere
Small Excavators located in Dubuque, IA, you will, support the
Small Excavator Electrical System Design Development. In addition,
you will: Collaborate within a cross functional team to develop
electrical designs that meet customer needsSupport the design and
print development for small excavator electrical components within
the product delivery process of new product programsSupport
physical builds, production launches, testing, and customer field

What Skills You Need Experience in a Product Engineering Design
environmentExperience with product development processesStrong
desire and ability to learn and apply electrical component design
principals to ongoing design activitiesDemonstrated experience and
ability to analyze technical data, consider multiple alternatives,
and provide data-driven decisions/recommendationsKnowledge of
electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators,
rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, and
connectorsExperience managing projectsStrong organizational,
communication, and leadership skillsAbility and willingness to
travel both domestic and internationally, up to 25% What Makes You
Stand Out Familiarity with construction, agriculture, or forestry
equipmentCross-functional experience related to verification,
performance evaluation, software, and/or manufacturing teamsWorking
knowledge of John Deere product development processesExperience
working with system requirements, electronic hardware, circuit
design and analysisExperience with Vspy, CPS Test Tool, Service
Advisor, Visio, yED and Matlab/Simulink Education Ideally you will
have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the
