Rite-Hite Corporation, a leader in loading dock and industrial door solutions, is seeking a full-time, Electrical Design Engineer for Rite-Hite Engineered Solutions Group located in Dubuque, IA.

This position is responsible for the design of products that meet the criteria set forth, support of production to manufacture the products, support of the order fulfillment process, and support products after production introduction.

Required Experience:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the design of products that meet the criteria set forth, support of production to manufacture those products, and support of products after production introduction.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform all activities in accordance with existing company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Manage broad and complex tasks/projects.

Provide professional leadership to members of the project team.

Aggressively pursue participation, feedback and concurrences from all sources with influence on the project.

Assist in the development of product definitions.

Support all phases of product development to insure projects run smoothly and target dates are met.

Conceptualize new designs as relating to product definitions.

Design parts/products for prototyping/production.

Design and interpret electrical circuit schematics. (EE only)

Write and debug software for machine control. (EE only)

Perform mathematical verification and analytical modeling of designs.


Write test plans and perform tests to verify analysis.


Analyze components or systems for design life and performance.

Perform failure analysis.

Create CAD drawings and models for concepts, prototyping, and testing.

Review drawings and models for accuracy.

Coordinate with suppliers.

Write purchase specifications.

Design tooling, fixtures, and test stands.

Support production, customer service, and applications.

Visit customer sites as necessary to evaluate and troubleshoot product

Write engineering change notices and sign for technical acceptance.

Update MRP system.

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.

Follow all established procedures, standards and policies.

Maintain a professional working atmosphere.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in mechanical or electrical engineering; with at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as demonstrated by PE certification.
