Under supervision, the Staff Accountant provides accounting
activities within the finance department by assisting with the
monthly closing of the bank financials and preparation of monthly
board reports and other duties as follow.
Assists with the timely closing of the monthly financial
statements for the bank subsidiaries.
Utilization of the Prologue general ledger system will be
Researches variances within the financial statements required
prior to closing.
Participates in the preparation of various financial statements
and reports for the bank subsidiaries.
Assists with the investment accounting function for the bank
subsidiaries and the holding company, including preparation of
reports to management and the board of directors.
Assists with the processing of purchases/sales, interest
payments, principal pay downs and monthly accrual entries for all
Assists with the maintenance of securities files in compliance
with the investment policy, and the proper pledging of securities
to collateralize deposits or repurchase agreements of the bank
Preparation of quarterly bank call reports in accordance with
required regulatory reporting guidelines.
Preparation of reports includes utilization of information from
various departments including loans, investments, deposits and
wealth management and others.
Assists with preparation of external audit materials and
external financial reporting.
Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it
relates to the job function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
1 -3 years related experience in an accounting or financial
Basic knowledge of MS Office applications, high level of
knowledge in Excel
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Certified Public Accountant License preferred.
