Job Description:
Performance Foodservice is seeking a highly motivated and
dedicated individual to join our team as a Class A CDL Delivery
Driver Trainee. As part of our transportation team, you will be on
the front lines of our operation, ensuring the timely, safe, and
accurate delivery of products to our customers. This role is
pivotal in maintaining the high standards of customer satisfaction
and reliability that Performance Foodservice is known for. You will
undergo comprehensive training to become fully acquainted with our
operational standards, safety regulations, and customer service
expectations. Join us and play a key role in delivering more than
just food, but also exceptional service and value to our clients
across the United States. Complete extensive training related to
CDL regulations and operational procedures. Assist in loading and
unloading of cargo, ensuring that goods are secured and handled
with care. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip,
maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage. Adhere to prescribed
routes, schedules, and safety rules to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service teams to
report delays, inconsistencies, or potential service issues. Manage
documentation related to delivery and vehicle condition. Ensure
compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong time
management and organizational skills Ability to operate a
commercial vehicle safely and efficiently Good physical condition
to handle merchandise and long hours Effective communication skills
Basic understanding of mechanical systems to report vehicle issues

possess or be willing to obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License
(CDL) Clean driving record
