Job Description:
Join the Ryder team as a dedicated CDL A Regional Truck Driver,
where you are a critical member of our transportation operations,
driving large trucks and safely delivering goods on behalf of our
diverse range of clients. Our drivers are the heartbeat of our
operations, ensuring the timely and safe arrival of cargo while
upholding the highest standards of customer service. With Ryder,
you will drive in a supportive environment that prides itself on
innovation and efficiency. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to
transport goods to and from specified locations in line with
delivery schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to
ensure proper working conditions of the truck and compliance with
standardized procedures. Maintain accurate logs of working hours
and vehicle service status, adhering to federal regulations,
including DOT. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
personnel to report delays, hazards, or accidents. Ensure the
security of the cargo during transit. Provide excellent customer
service, resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. Comply
with all safety rules and regulations associated with the
operations of heavy vehicles. Ability to manage routes and routines
so they proceed in the most efficient way possible. Strong time
management and customer service skills. Familiarity with DOT
regulations. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Basic knowledge
of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs.
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS,
AVL units, CB etc.) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
No recent moving or driving violations. A clean driving record and
drug screen.
