Job Details - Location: Mauston, WI 53948 (Mauston, Wisconsin travel nursing assignment) - Assignment Type: Travel Nursing / Travel RN - Start Date: March 30, 2026 - End Date: May 25, 2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - Shifts: 2 shifts per week, 7am–7pm - Shift Duration: 12-hour days - Schedule: Every 3rd weekend, holiday rotation - Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week - On-Site Position: Yes — Emergency Department (ED) Job Requirements & Qualifications - Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required - Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must obtain within 1 year of hire if not already held) - Minimum 1 year of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in an ED setting - Strong clinical assessment skills across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations - Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced emergency environment Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) for patients from pediatric to geriatric ages - Perform age-appropriate assessments, implement care plans, and monitor patient responses - Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process - Document all care, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and accurately - Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, peers, and ancillary departments to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care - Prioritize and coordinate care for multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency setting - Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products; participate in emergency resuscitation and trauma protocols - Respond calmly and efficiently to crises, providing leadership and direction when needed - Maintain ED equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness each shift - Participate in education for pre-hospital providers, students, and staff as requested - Adhere to all legal, consent, and transfer protocols and perform additional duties as assigned What We Offer - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020–$2130 per week - Competitive travel nurse compensation and benefits (details provided during the application process) - Supportive Emergency Department team and collaborative clinical environment - Opportunity for professional development and continuing education - Experience a rewarding travel nursing job in Mauston, Wisconsin—close to outdoor recreation and community amenities Apply now: Join our healthcare team as a Travel ER Registered Nurse (Travel RN) in Mauston, WI.
