MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an OB Surgical Technician.
The Surgical Technician functions in the scrub role during
intraoperative patient care, doing so as a delegated technical
function under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The
provision of care is consistent through adherence to standards and
support of the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center. Schedule:
Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts General
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical
technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military
program. Or graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience; or
equivalent experience to demonstrate competency. CST certification
preferred but not required in Iowa. CST certification is required
if working in Illinois. LPN license is required if you are a
graduate of an LPN program. No prior experience is required. BLS.
Mandatory Reporter. Ability to work with diverse groups of people;
ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of
independence and accountability; and the ability to accept
responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an
activity. Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often
changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or
