Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - ICU experience required - Neurosurgery experience preferred - Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient populations - Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years - Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months License: - Must hold a current nursing license Certifications: - BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required Must-Have: - Basic Arrhythmia experience required - Must be able to pass telemetry testing prior to starting Description: We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN). The position involves working on a 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit. You will care for adult patients with various neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions. Conditions treated may include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, and cerebral aneurysms. The role requires strong critical thinking skills to provide appropriate interventions. Interventions may include administering vasoactive drips, performing hemodynamic monitoring, and managing feeding tubes and drains. Frequent assessments and diligent monitoring of patient status are essential. You will collaborate with a supportive team committed to providing expert care. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required on a rotating basis.
