of Experience Required Description: The Speech Therapist position
assesses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The
role aims to help individuals enhance their ability to communicate
and swallow safely. Essential Job Duties: Perform direct patient
care by assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing
disorders. Complete patient documentation, including initial
evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge
reports. Contact insurance companies regarding benefits. Prepare
for evaluation and treatment sessions. Provide education to staff
regarding results and recommendations following evaluations. Offer
guidance based on the most up-to-date research. Create in-service
presentations and educational opportunities for staff. Collaborate
with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered treatment.
Clean treatment rooms following sessions. Provide reminder calls to
patients. Aid patients and families in navigating the healthcare
environment. Perform other duties as requested. Requirements
Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
