working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in
Marshfield, Wisconsin, 54449! Job Title: ICU RN Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of
2 years ICU experience and 1 year travel experience. License:
Current nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
required. Must-Have: - Cerner experience. - Proficiency in rhythm
interpretation. - Ability to titrate drips, including all ICU
drips, propofol, precedex, and vasopressors. Description: The ICU
RN will work in a 16-bed unit, providing care for patients with
respiratory issues, strokes, neuro conditions, GI issues, cardiac
conditions, and more. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:2,
with 1:1 ratios for higher acuity patients. There is a nurse aid
available on the unit to support nursing staff. Two pulmonologists
are in-house for attendings, along with a team of residents during
the day. A respiratory therapist is available 24/7 in the ICU,
equipped with all necessary equipment including vents, BiPAP/CPAP,
vapotherm, trachs, and nitric. Registered nurses are required to
read their own telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled from
0700-1930 and 1900-0730, allowing for some self-scheduling though
block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Weekend and holiday
requirements are based on schedule needs, typically every other
weekend and every other holiday. There is no call or standby
requirement, and staff may be asked to float to like units or
assist within the hospital as a patient observer. Dress code
requires clean and professional attire without specific color
requirements. All clinical staff are required to clock in and out.
