Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel position requiring Level 1 Trauma and telemetry experience, with a WI or compact license. Responsibilities - Work in an ICU setting within an academic Level 1 Trauma Center - Care for critically ill adult patients across multiple ICU specialties including Neuro, Cardiothoracic, Burn, and Trauma Surgery - Work evening/night shifts, 8 or 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend and holiday coverage - Floating is required, with the expectation to work in IMC/Progressive/General care units or multiple ICU units as staffing needs dictate - Uses Epic EMR; recent Epic experience is preferred - Travelers may have shifts scheduled in multiple units or locations during the assignment - Responsible for autonomous critical care nursing across diverse ICU and IMC settings as patient needs require - Must pass a standardized telemetry exam with strict criteria before beginning the assignment - Orientation is provided and typically lasts about one week, following specific department schedules - Holiday rotations are required and will be scheduled according to unit needs - First-time travelers may be accepted depending on the unit - Hospital enforces a professional scrub dress code - Permit required for onsite parking; alternative transportation options are available - No references are required for consideration Requirements - Active WI or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required - Minimum two years of recent acute care ICU experience within the past three years at an inpatient Level 1 Trauma Center - Experience in multiple ICU specialties such as Neuro, Cardiothoracic, Burn, or Trauma Surgery required - Basic arrhythmia recognition skills required; must pass a telemetry test prior to start - Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is preferred - Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634777.
