Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro
ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours
Experience: ICU experience required. License: Must have a valid
nursing license. Certifications: BLS & ACLS certification required
through the American Heart Association. Must-Have: - Two years of
acute care experience within the last three years. - Basic
Arrhythmia experience required for telemetry. - Ability to pass a
telemetry test prior to starting the position. Description: We are
seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse to work on a
recently renovated neuroscience critical care unit. The unit cares
for adult patients with a variety of neurological, neurosurgical,
and stroke conditions. Conditions can include ischemic and
hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus,
cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases. Strong
critical thinking skills are essential as the role involves
providing interventions such as vasoactive drips, hemodynamic
monitoring, feeding tubes, and drains. Frequent assessments and
responsive care are critical components of this role. The team
consists of dynamic and supportive nurses committed to providing
expert care. Floating to multiple units may be required depending
on staffing needs. Weekend and holiday rotations may also be
necessary. Orientation will be provided to prepare for the
expectations and responsibilities of this position. Candidates must
demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring and care.
