Function: Product Engineering Title: Structural Analysis Engineer?- 51064 Your Responsibilities As an Structural Analysis Engineer working for John Deere Construction & Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA, you will perform structural analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) to verify Construction & Forestry equipment structures. In addition, you will: Recommend and evaluate design solutions to improve cost, manufacturing, quality and performance With assistance, develop analysis plans, execute and document projects Collaborate with contract analysis resources Work with structural evaluation (test) engineers and learn test processes Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. What Skills You Need Some experience with FEA pre-processors, solvers and post-processors such as Abaqus, HyperMesh, Optistruct, IDEAS, Patran, NASTRAN, and Ansys Working knowledge of engineering mechanics Basic instruction on finite element analysis theory Basic knowledge of fatigue and strain-based fatigue life prediction Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks Strong teamwork ethic, verbal and written communication skills What Makes You Stand Out Full-time and 12 months experience with FEA software Structural design or analysis experience of construction or forestry equipment FEA experience with John Deere construction or forestry equipment Knowledge in fatigue verification software packages like nCode Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent? Education (or equivalent work experience) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
