existing security clearance required on day 1 Collins Aerospace is
looking for an experienced Industrial Security professional to
assume the role of Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) at
its Cedar Rapids, IA location. This position is responsible for
assisting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in coordinating,
interpreting, implementing, and enforcing Security policies and
procedures in accordance with the Department of War (DoW) and other
government agency directives. We are seeking an AFSO having a
minimum of six years industrial security experience with possessing
facilities. This position will be responsible for helping to
maintain the facility’s industrial security program and serve as
the primary point of contact in reviewing and implementing policies
and procedures to maintain compliance with the NISPOM Rule 32 CFR
part 117. This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids. A
relocation package is available if needed. What YOU will do:
Reviewing and preparing DD254s. Assisting with annual the annual
Self Inspection. Conducting security education, awareness, and
training. Preparing for security compliance reviews/audits
(internal and external). Maintaining accountability and control of
classified documents, COMSEC material and equipment. Administering
security briefings and debriefings. Conducting administrative
inquiries and investigations, and coordinating appropriate
follow-up actions. Collecting data for metrics and analysis.
Qualifications YOU Must Have: Typically requires a University
Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. U.S.
citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a
security clearance. Successful candidates must have a comprehensive
knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Top
Secret clearance, or the ability to have a Top Secret clearance
reinstated. Completion of DCSA Facility Security Officer coursework
for Possessing Facilities Knowledge and understanding of Open
Storage Area construction standards Must have demonstrated ability
to communicate effectively and professionally with a broad range of
personnel Must be a team player and able to prioritize assignments
and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Working knowledge of NISS,
DISS, eAPP, Security information management software, access

107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good
faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
