Brewery in La Crosse, WI has an immediate opening for a Utilities
Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and
repair of equipment related to the operation of the Engine Room and
Refrigeration Systems. Duties and Responsibilities Overall
responsibility of the plant refrigeration system. Maintain and
troubleshoot evaporators, heat exchangers & liquid ammonia transfer
pumps, purging system, pump-out system, circulation pumps, makeup
equipment, valves & condensers. Maintenance and repair of
compressed air systems. Monitoring of glycol system. Water
treatment including but not limited to: chemical testing, RO system
operations and de-aeration system operation and maintenance. Boiler
system maintenance, including pump/motor replacement & alignment.
Required involvement in Emergency Response Team. Minimum
Qualifications HVAC or equivalent degree from a technical school or
college or 3 years equivalent experience working with ammonia
refrigeration systems and components or boiler operation. Must be
able to work well with others in a team environment. Must possess
excellent problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to
climb ladders, scaffolding, operate scissor lifts & forklifts. Must
be able to push, pull, drag and carry up to 50 pounds. Strong
mechanical skills. Able to complete confined space training.
Successfully pass respirator fit testing. Benefits/Compensation
