is seeking a Senior Assembly Technician who will be responsible for
helping to lead and train the assembly team daily. The Senior
Assembly Technician will also be responsible for manufacturing and
assembly of complex electrical and mechanical components and
assemblies, including first of a kind and prototype builds.
Produces components with limited instruction according to design
documentation including schematics, models, drawings, and other
work instructions. Test and verify components and assemblies using
electrical testing and/or precision measurement equipment.
Troubleshoots problems and makes necessary adjustments to product
and processes. Works with design and production personnel to
improve assembly process. The base salary range for this position
is $25.00 - $33.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation
package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and
location. Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Assembly
Technician: Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are
not limited to: Build first of a kind and prototype assemblies with
limited instructions. Perform I/O checks, troubleshoot and repair
problems found during testing. Assist in the documentation of new
processes. Assemble a large variety of specialized
electro-mechanical components and subsystems. Assemble electrical
control panels, including point to point-to-point wiring, and
installation of a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical
components. Conduct testing and validation of output following test
procedures. Inspect and clean components before assembly. Maintain
required production records and provide feedback. Interact with
engineering staff both verbally and in written form. Maintain a
safe, clean, and organized work area. Perform job duties with
minimal instruction or supervision. Assists with training new
hires. Serves as a mentor for the assembly team. Limited travel as
required. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: 5-10 plus
years of electrical assembly experience, or similar experience from
working in a technical environment. Ability to read and interpret
schematics, drawings, solid models, and bills of material. Ability
to build and test with limited instructions. Experience creating
assembly documentation and developing processes. Experience
training personnel preferred. Elevated level of competence in the
use of various hand and power tools, fabrication skills preferred.
Independent worker with excellent communication skills. Experience
in interacting with engineering personnel in a technical capacity.
Familiarity with vacuum component handling and testing is
preferred. Familiarity with safe lifting/rigging concepts is
preferred. Desire to learn innovative technologies and concepts.
Proficient using computers for viewing and modifying documentation
and general office use. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Flexibility to
work various shifts preferred. Working Conditions and Physical
Effort: Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching,
grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight
objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than
four (4) hours per day. Fine motor coordination and strong depth
perception is beneficial. Work involves moderate exposure to
unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes,
smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment
involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require
following basic safety precautions. Eligibility for employment is
conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to

Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards
