RFA Engineering -() -is seeking a growth oriented Mid to Senior Level candidate to be part of our engineering team onsite at our client John Deere Construction and Forestry located in Dubuque, Iowa. You will work with our experienced engineering staff and our customer's staff to provide optimized designs, improved designs for assembly and warranty reduction for Bulldozer Cabs.This is an onsite position. Work hours and environment are flexible. -Continuous Improvement Design Engineer

You will work on our CI Cab team and will work to reduce warranty, improve -manufacturability and, -correct assembly line issues and quality issues for the Bulldozer Cabs.Responsibilities -

• Ensure production continues - May require part redesign, resourcing, rework planning, coordinating between multiple parties
• Reduce warranty of parts through analysis of claims and returned parts
• Investigate part deviation requests -
• Work with operators on the assembly line to identify issues and conduct test fit ups
• Improve manufacturability -and assembly of parts
• Engage large teams to solve issues - Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply management, PV&V, Safety & Compliance, Publishing, External SuppliersRequirements
  • Bachelor's Degree -in Mechanical Engineering -or related Engineering field
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Experience with Creo
  • 3+ years related experience -
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, with an any-problem-can-be-solved attitude
  • Strong organizational -and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Must have a valid Drivers LicenseDesired Attributes
    • Basic Knowledge of plastics, sheetmetal, GD&T, welding, and fixturing
    • Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
    • Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry, or Ag off-road equipment.Salary is based on level of relevant experience which will be determined during interview process.$68,000 - $99,000 +
