collaborates with business units (vendor owners) as well as other
key risk groups (such as Credit Risk Management, Information
Security, IT, Compliance, BSA/AML, Legal, PMO) in the initial
assessment and ongoing oversight of third-party service providers.
The Senior TPRM Analyst is responsible for ensuring that initial
and ongoing due diligence on new and existing vendors is properly
performed. This role also serves as the primary lead for assigned
due diligence reviews and partnering with subject matter experts,
stakeholders, vendor management, legal, and the vendor under
evaluation. Senior Analyst is accountable for the day-to-day TPRM
activities, supporting relevant stakeholders and preparing
reporting of operational data and risk metrics. This professional
will gather sufficient strategic, technical, and operational
information from internal business units and external vendors to
ultimately understand, communicate and document the risks
associated with the vendor relationships.PRIMARY & ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading the TPRM onboarding and periodic review processes and
leveraging information from internal and external resources to
develop a description of third-party services and drive
collaboration between SMEs and vendor owners.
- Performing third-party risk assessments by conducting and
evaluating inherent risks questionnaires, vendor surveys, and
assessing due diligence documentation following HTLF program
standards, and formulating and providing effective challenge into
the risk assessment process.
- Evaluating third-party's critical attributes to ensure
appropriate risk rating is assigned and proper due diligence is
applied.
- Responsible for administrating collaboration between internal
business units and subject matter experts for any TPRM guidance
needed.
- Facilitate and document kick-off and risk review meetings
between vendor owners, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to
present potential vendors and discuss due diligence, or
issues.
- Leading the development and implementation of supplementary
risk programs, operating plan strategies, procedures, templates,
and forms.
- Conduct routinely reviews and reporting relating to TPRM
lifecycle activities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with preparing reporting of key risk indications (KRIs)
to internal business partners, executive management, and other
stakeholders (e.g., HTLF Board of Directors, regulators), including
but not limited to the vendor population, risk distribution,
ongoing monitoring/review status updates, issues aging, watch list
reporting etc.
- Maintain and enhance the company's internal intranet site for
Third-Party Risk.
- Lead TPRM training development and deliver educational
activities to support and guide vendor relationship owners.
- Responsible for managing the TPRM's vendor management solution,
user access provisioning, and program buildout into the
system.
- Identify enhancements and process efficiencies to TPRM
procedures to ensure the program aligns with regulatory
requirements.
- Develop positive working relationships across the organization
to promote Third-Party Risk awareness.
- Maintain acumen of Third-Party Risk methodology and
requirements from regulatory bodies such as the Federal Reserve,
FDIC, and OCC, as well as other information security and
cybersecurity frameworks.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position
does not have supervisory responsibilities.REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance,
Business or Project ManagementREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of risk management experience preferably in
third-party risk.
- 3-5 years in the financial industry preferably in banking.
- Solid familiarity with third-party management frameworks,
information security, and/or risk controls.
- Experience using vendor management systems. Understating of
legal and contract terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft production applications such as
Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and
handle ad-hoc projects or requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to
collaborate with employees throughout all levels of the
Company.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.OCCUPATIONAL
CERTIFICATION:CTPRP (Certified Third-Party Risk Professional) or
other risk management certification is preferred.Scheduled Weekly
Hours:40Time Type:Full timeThe targeted salary for this role
is:$80,000.00You may also be offered incentive compensation, and
benefits. Compensation may vary and is based on geographic location
of the specific role as well as the skills and experiences of the
selected candidate.
